Alan Pardee

The design of space and place has been an important part of Alan's life since his early years, and he is profoundly grateful for the profession of landscape architecture, as it provides an outlet for his impulse to design. Alan's particular focus is on how people use a place, and the experiential considerations and spatial relationships that characterize well-designed spaces.

Architecture and forestry were Alan's boyhood interests, and years later while studying architecture at the University of Oregon, he 'discovered' landscape architecture and altered course, having found his place. Alan's excellent technical and artistic skills are strengthened by direct practical experience in construction, surveying and contracting.

Alan brings a breadth of experience and training to each project, and especially appreciates immersing himself in the initial brain-storming and conceptual design phase of the process.
